The members of the AG Industrial Engineering of the Working Group for Economical Manufacturing (AWF), which was founded just over a year ago, met on 26./27. April 2022 at ERCO GmbH in Lüdenscheid, a member company of MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. The focus was on the current challenges for manufacturing companies and the contribution that industrial engineering must make in the systematic planning and design of work systems if it wants to be perceived as the engine of value creation in the company.

The research project AI-MDA (“Automatic input processing for MTM-analyses and displaying in augmented reality environments”) should provide answers.
The Stifterverband, a joint initiative of companies and foundations, advises its approx. 3,000 members from business, science, politics and civil society on the core topics of education, science and innovation, networks and promotes the actors. Since 2014, the Stifterverband has recognized the commitment of research-based companies in the further development of the economy and society in Germany with the seal “Innovative through research”. The ema Work Designer of imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH, a scientifically based simulation software for virtual workplace design and process planning of industrial production processes using a 3D human model, is one of the first products to receive the seal of approval “approved by MTM ASSOCIATION”.

We had already heard that the meetings of the German Lean Community were a bit different. But we didn’t expect the bear to tap-dance in every respect. The icing on the cake at LATC 2022 was the LeanBaseAwards. In the training and consulting organization category, the prize went to the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V.

Board election 2023: List of candidates is ready
The general meeting of the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. will elect a new board this year. The meeting will take place on Day 1 of the MTM SUMMIT on October 18 from 08:30 to 10:30.
One-MTM, the worldwide network for the development and dissemination of MTM products and services, has established itself in the two years of its existence as a reliable partner of MTM member companies and customers all over the world.
The German LEAN community will meet on March 17 and 18 at LATC2022 in the Maimarktclub in Mannheim. The highlight of the hybrid event is the presentation of the LeanBaseAward. Among the finalists is the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V., which entered the race with its cloud-based software solution MTM-Easy®.
