Making success plannable

More than 70 experts and managers from over 40 companies attended the MTM China Forum for Industrial Engineering at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in early July. Initiated by the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. and organized by MTM (Shanghai) Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd, the event focused on the application of MTM in the planning and design of production systems and best practices in combining MTM with automation and digitization technologies.

The students of the industrial engineering bachelor’s degree program at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences recently had the opportunity to learn about the MTM method standard in detail and to apply the knowledge in practice right away. “MTM for the digital design of efficient and ergonomic work” was the topic of a guest lecture by Dr. Fabian Nöhring, Innovation Manager and Project Manager at Deutsche MTM- Gesellschaft mbH, as part of the lecture “Production Engineering”.

Ergo traffic light must be green

Keeping employees healthy and on the job for the long term. Dr. Steffen Rast, head of the ergonomics department at Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH, addressed this requirement for today’s work planning in a keynote speech at the meeting of the “Time and Work Management” working group of AWF (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Wirtschaftliche Fertigung). His conclusion: “The ergo traffic light must be set to green.”

MTM China Forum discusses eHPU

MTM China, subsidiary of the German MTM-Gesellschaft mbH and partner in the One-MTM network, hosted the MTM China Forum for Industrial Engineering on July 6, 2023. Olaf Damitz, product planner at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, and Dr. Thomas Finsterbusch, head of the MTM Academy, presented the key performance indicator eHPU as a new industry standard for design evaluation to industrial engineers, time managers and work planners from numerous companies based in China.
