Analyzing new market requirements together with customers, determining the specific need for products and services, promoting application consulting, dialog and feedback, generating use cases for everyone from operational best practices – the TiCon User’s Day 2024 offered the best opportunity for this. Herwig Weidle, Head of Digital Solutions at Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH, and MTM Managing Director Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang welcomed more than 80 MTM users and IT administrators at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden. The focus was on the TiCon product family and its use for digital work planning. Relive the TiCon User’s Day in sound and vision HERE.
New working groups on TiCon and MTMmotion® on offer
Close cooperation with users of MTM software solutions is also very important to Herwig Weidle against the background of digitalization and the use of AI. In his opening speech, he therefore referred to two new working groups: “TiCon Copilot / AI Use Cases” and “MTMmotion® Use Cases”. If you would like to participate, please contact your contact person in Dresden or send an e-mail to digital.solutions@mtm.org. Weidle also referred to the 2024 customer survey – another important component in the further development of MTM software solutions and, of course, an indicator of customer satisfaction.
Frank Brandt, Head of Software Development, and Stephan Meyer, Head of Customer Success, both from Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH, opened the presentation program. Brandt reminded TiCon for SAP users that the classic SAP platform will not be developed further after 2027 and will be replaced by the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This means that the change from TiCon for SAP to TiCon for SAP BTP (recently listed in the SAP Store and also available in the SAP Industry Cloud – read more here) will be inevitable.
Stephan Meyer presented maximum balancing with TiCon for Windows. TiCon supports different balancing methods. Mix and max balancing are mainly used for large product variance. The advantages of max balancing are the reduction of data volume and computing time. Stephan Meyer and software developer Gregor Tappert also addressed the topic of balancing with TiCon Takt in one of the three breakout sessions offered at the TiCon User’s Day.
Users from Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH and DEHN SE share best practices
Heiko Ingwersen, Team Leader Time Management at Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH, presented a concept for the automatic creation of work schedules in TiCon4, which was developed together with MTM. Dr. Martin Benter, Team Leader Digitalization and Automation of MTM Methods, presented the new possibilities for TiCon users in connection with the interface solution MTMmotion®. Thomas Schanz, Team Leader Support, and Oliver Liphardt, Support Engineer, presented TiCon best practices for data maps and data structure as well as tips and tricks for using TiCon. The interaction of MTM and time recording in TiCon for SAP was the focus of the presentation by Dominik Pfann, Process Planner at DEHN SE.
Breakout sessions on TiCon Takt, TiCon Base and ERP/PLM integration
After the lunch break there were three breakout sessions to choose from: These dealt with future requirements for TiCon Takt and TiCon Base as well as ERP/PLM integration and data analysis. Dr. Thomas Finsterbusch, Head of the MTM Academy, and Dennis Schröder, Head of Cyber Security & Privacy at TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH, closed an exciting day on the TiCon application. MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. and Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft Industrie- und Wirtschaftsberatung mbH have just been successfully re-certified in the field of information security.
Thomas Finsterbusch talked about the advantages of the use of TiCon for Web in the MTM training and thus continued the opening statement of Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang. The CEO had emphasized that the TiCon User’s Day not only reflected the activities of the business unit Digital Solutions, but also the interaction of all areas (consulting, digital solutions, academy, institute) – in the interest of the MTM users and the successful dissemination of the method.
