There is still a while to go before the meeting point of the MTM community, the MTM SUMMIT 2022. We want to shorten the waiting time for all interested parties with the LeanDigitalConference on May 24, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. live from the LeanTV Studio in Mannheim. The focus of the online event is the topic “Lean Work – efficient and ergonomic design”.

MTM-HWD® in use at Siemens

Producing efficiently and at the same time maintaining the health of the employees – industrial engineer Florian Walter from Siemens AG shows that this works not with one of the many examples in Germany, but with the example of the group’s electronics plant in Chengdu in China. The new process building block system MTM-HWD® is a means to an end, which for the first time combines methodical and ergonomic work design in just one step and has thus ushered in a new era in work design. Florian Walter’s tandem partner is Dr. Thomas Finsterbusch, who helped launch MTM-HWD® and is now further developing the process building block system together with Siemens and many other players from the German manufacturing industry as part of a user group.

Reliable numbers are the be-all and end-all

Where does my company stand in terms of lean? What potential for improvement is there, where does it make sense to start with the realization and what effects does all this have on the profit and loss account? The answer requires one thing above all: reliable figures. And you can only get that by measuring and evaluating. Here, too, there is now a tried and tested remedy: MTM-Easy®. Dr. Johannes Pohl from PEOPEX GmbH and Christian Kühn, Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH, use a practical example to demonstrate that with MTM-Easy®, i.e. the digitization and simplification of the MTM approach in combination with an intuitive user interface, an initial estimate of savings potentials (degree of hardness 2) is possible within a very short time.

Other topics of the LeanDigitalConference are

the planning and implementation of efficient and ergonomic assembly workstations using the example of SIKO GmbH (Marius Geibel, item Industrietechnik GmbH, and Dr. Steffen Rast, Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH) and VR and MTM in the design of the DEHN work systems of the future (Michael Mohren, DEHN SE ). The keynote “Lean Work – Introduction to efficient and ergonomic work design” wil be presented by Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang, CEO MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. , together with Nadja Böhlmann, LeanBase, he also leads through the program.

After each impulse presentation, the respective speakers are available in a separate video conference for questions and suggestions. There is also the possibility to have your say on the individual posts via chat.
