Conducting mobile time studies is now easier, more flexible, and more powerful: with TiCon TS 2.0, the new generation of the MTM app for digital time recording is now available.
The application has been completely redesigned from a technical perspective and offers numerous new features for manufacturing, logistics, and services. Whether it is prepared time studies, disruption recording, or supplementary photos and notes – with TiCon TS 2.0, work processes can be recorded directly in the production environment and then seamlessly transferred to TiCon for Windows for evaluation.
Important: TiCon TS 2.0 is available in combination with TiCon for Windows from version 4.10 onwards.
What is TiCon TS 2.0?
TiCon TS 2.0 is the mobile solution for conducting time studies. Time studies can either be prepared on a PC and transferred to a mobile device or created directly in the app. The individual process steps can then be measured directly at the workplace – even without an internet connection.
Once the time study has been completed, the data is transferred back to TiCon®, where statistical evaluations, standard time calculations, and further analyses for time management, ergonomics, and process optimization can be carried out.
This creates a seamless digital process – from preparation through to evaluation.
The Key New Features of TiCon TS 2.0
Conduct multiple time studies simultaneously
With TiCon TS 2.0, multiple time studies can be handled in parallel. You can easily switch between active studies using swipe gestures, the scroll bar, or the menu.
Use predefined labels directly
Additional sections and disruptions can already be prepared in TiCon®. During the time study, these predefined labels are available at the touch of a button – enabling faster and more standardized documentation.
Add photos flexibly
Images can be added both before and during the time study – either for the entire study or for individual process steps.
Edit notes at any time
Notes can be added during an ongoing time study and edited in process steps that have already been recorded. Once the time study has been completed, further editing is no longer possible.
Reliable data exchange via REST API
Communication between the app and TiCon® is handled conveniently and securely via a modern REST interface.
Extensive configuration options
Operation, controls, and the way information is displayed can be individually adapted to specific requirements.
Offline time studies
Prepared time studies can also be conducted without a network or internet connection. A network connection is required for subsequent synchronization with TiCon for Windows.
Free for Android and iOS
TiCon TS 2.0 is available free of charge for smartphones running Android or iOS.

- Live calculation of the confidence interval: During the ongoing time study, the confidence interval is continuously calculated and displayed for both individual process steps and the entire time study.
- Flexibly add additional cycles: Based on the live calculation, additional measurement cycles can be added directly during the study until the desired confidence interval is reached.
- Transfer the data back to TiCon®
- Perform the evaluation and standard time calculation on the PC
Based on complete time studies or individual process steps, process building blocks can then be created and reused in other TiCon modules.
