Special event on TiCon for SAP BTP

TiCon for SAP BTP, the software solution developed in the “Co-Innovated with SAP” program, is certified for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), listed in the SAP Store and therefore available for the SAP Industry Cloud – and will be the focus of a special event in autumn, the TiCon for SAP BTP Insight Forum 2024. The background to this is the end of support for SAP ECC.

BSH China: Ergonomics takes priority

Like many other companies, BSH China Chuzhou Factory is facing the challenge of an aging workforce and maintaining the health and performance of its employees. Ergonomics in work design is therefore a priority. In 2021, the company introduced the EAWS® (Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet) process as the standard for ergonomic assessment. By 2023, all workstations had been assessed.

This was the TiCon User’s Day 2024!

Analyzing new market requirements together with customers, determining the specific need for products and services, promoting application consulting, dialog & feedback, generating use cases for everyone from operational best practices – the TiCon User’s Day 2024 offered the best opportunity for this. Herwig Weidle, Head of Digital Solutions at Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH, and MTM Managing Director Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang welcomed more than 80 users and administrators of MTM software solutions at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden. The focus was on the TiCon product family and its use for digital work planning.

Working better on the last mile

Work in the delivery and delivery services sector is undergoing a massive upheaval. Since 2019, the volume of deliveries has more than doubled while the number of employees has remained the same. This threatens to massively overload delivery employees. At the same time, there is a lack of ergonomic principles in the service sector. MotionMiners GmbH and MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. are currently working on a preliminary study in the parcel delivery sector. The goal: better work on the last mile.

At its most recent meeting, the Industrial Engineering working group of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Wirtschaftliche Fertigung (AWF – Economic Manufacturing Working Group) dealt with assembly-oriented product design as a relevant economic factor. The focus was on ProKon (production-oriented construction), the MTM-based process for analyzing and evaluating design solutions with regard to their suitability for assembly.
