The ema Work Designer from imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH, a scientifically based simulation software for virtual workplace design and process planning of industrial production processes using a 3D human model, is one of the first products to receive the “approved by MTM ASSOCIATION” seal of quality. The certificate confirms the conformity of the automated generation of MTM-HWD® process descriptions and MTM-UAS® analyzes with the requirements and standards defined in the test criteria (see also the blog post “ema Work Designer speaks MTM-HWD®“) . The ema Work Designer is currently the only software in the world that can calculate a certified MTM analysis directly from the 3D simulation.
The long-standing cooperation between imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH and MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. resulted in a contractual agreement on the occasion of this certification in order to be able to label and sell the ema Work Designer with the MTM label.
The contract was signed in Dresden. For Lars Fritzsche, the benefits of certification are obvious. “We use the expertise and reputation of MTM to give our customers the security of a globally recognized standard for work design and time evaluation.” Thus, the simulation software from imk also withstands the critical examination by the social partners, according to Fritzsche.
In this context, MTM Managing Director Peter Kuhlang emphasized that not only software providers and consulting firms benefit from the certification of their products. “The seal of quality also makes sense for companies that use MTM. They can prove to partners that they themselves work according to the MTM standard – and they can search specifically for partners who are MTM-certified.”
