„Right step for the entire MTM community“<\/strong><\/p>

EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Work Sheet) is the internationally recognized standard for assessing the ergonomic risk of activities in workplaces. The procedure assesses clocked and unclocked workplaces and is widely used as a standard ergonomic tool in various industries. EAWS was developed by the Italian MTM association AMI (Associazione MTM Italia) in cooperation with the Institute of Ergonomics at the Technical University of Darmstadt (IAD) and adopted in numerous European companies mainly in the automotive, industrial manufacturing (e.g. domestic appliances) and aerospace industries. With the objective to leverage the extraordinary power of the global One-MTM technical platform, AMI has transferred to MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. the management and future development of EAWS. This ensures that the further development of EAWS, e. g. to assess exoskeletons effects, will also be managed by the central EAWS technical team.<\/p>

„Excellent acceptance in industry and among social partners“<\/strong>
The contract signing took place on December 9, 2021, in parallel in Varese, Italy, and Hamburg, Germany. Gabriele Caragnano, PwC Partner and Technical Director of Fondazione Ergo-MTM Italia, is proud to say that EAWS in its first 13 years of life gained an excellent acceptance in industry and among social partners thanks to its brilliant design and he is convinced that centralizing the future development efforts will generate further impulse to make EAWS the global ergonomic golden standard.<\/p>

Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang, CEO of the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. and the One-MTM network, described the transfer of rights from AMI to the MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. as the „right step for our members, our customers and the entire MTM community.“ According to Kuhlang, EAWS in its current version, as well as all further developments, will continue to be an indispensable part of the efficient and ergonomic design of human work in the future.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
